Tonight I'm trying to figure out how to screen record and came across an article about setting up developer options and and turning it on that way so I did but saw the permission was no longer there. I regularly send group messages (in the default Samsung texting app, "Messages".) I sent them earlier today without problem. However, in the past couple hours, every single group message (in old groups and in new groups) now includes a subject line: "<Subject: NoSubject>". This has already become a pain. How can I stop this from showing up?! It makes previews in the notification bar irrelevant, it makes messages difficult to read, and it is annoying. | Posted: 02 Nov 2019 06:04 PM PDT Hi. I purchased a Samsung micro SD card (class3) 256gb for my Galaxy S8 and am having trouble keeping copied files on the card. I have tried copying the files from my other SD card to the new one and it shows the files have copied however when I put the new card in my phone the files are no longer there just the folders. So I tried copying to the new card using my pc and had the same result. Next I copying using my laptop and again got the same result. I have formatted the card several times to exfat and fat32 using both the PC, laptop and phone and still no success. I have run diskcheck and it all came up fine. Does anyone have any suggestions? | Posted: 02 Nov 2019 03:23 PM PDT I bought a new Galacy s10+ to transfer from iphone6 to galaxy, sadly my SIM card is no longer able to work in the new phone and i just figured out why. The new galaxy's phone is locked to a network and wont let my koodo card work. I talked to koodo support and they told me id have to get a code from the company locking my phone. I have a problem with that thought, I have no idea how to find out what network locked my phone. Is there something in settings / an app that can help me? Posted: 02 Nov 2019 08:43 PM PDT So I just noticed while going through some old contacts, that some of them include options for Duo voice call and Duo video call, but I can't fathom how it decides. I thought maybe it somehow detected who also used Duo, but at least one of the contacts is using an iPhone so that doesn't make sense, right? I've never even used Duo before. Just curious. | Facebook & Twitter App Notification issues w/Galaxy Note 10+ (5G) Posted: 02 Nov 2019 08:37 PM PDT It appears that notifications aren't working correctly for Facebook and Twitter on my Note 10+ 5G (Verizon). Twitter: notification # will not go away even after I've checked my notification. I can only get rid of notifications by manually switching off that option in the About this App section. Facebook: I do not receive notification for likes. Anyone know how I can fix this? I have to turn wifi off to get anything to send or download any mms. I'm so confused as to what to do, I've tried factory resets and googling the problem a million times. My wifi is super quick and it used to work all of the time without me even having to click download. It would just do it automatically. Am I missing some sort of setting that may have changed? | Nfc Tag with wi-fi credentials. Posted: 02 Nov 2019 10:34 AM PDT First of all, not sure if this is the right subreddit but I'm gonna give it a go. I've been trying to get my wi-fi credentials on an NFC tag so people can connect to my Wi-fi just by holding their phones against the tag. Every tutorial I look up says it's super simple. Just long press on a wi-fi network you're connected with and an option "Write to NFC" should pop up. It doesn't when I do it, both on my phone(Galaxy a50 running Pie) and on my mom's phone(Galaxy S7 running Oreo). Did android patch this feature out or something? I've tried using 3rd party software to get the job done. It works, but people trying to read the tag need the same app installed. So that isn't an option. Is there some way around this? Is there perhaps an app which can do this without my friends having to download the app? Or even better, is the option "Write to NFC" hidden somewhere in android, and I just can't find it. I'm looking for a simple wireless connection using the same home WiFi network. I have given up on my original choice, FTP File Manager Lite.... It was good and fast when it worked, but I keep getting connection failures, errors saying the devices are not on the same network when they clearly are, and despite repeated refreshes of the profile and reinstalls, I have failed to solve this fatal flaw. Looking for something that offers a file explorer style manager, with left /right side copying to carry out manual copying between folders on the Laptop and phone. | S9 Audio Static Above Certain Volume - Trouble Shooting Posted: 02 Nov 2019 01:56 PM PDT I have a galaxy s9 and recently have noticed above 2 clicks (out of 15) there is white noise when audio is playing. Below this or when nothing is playing there is none. It is a very definitive switch. I've tried switching through combinations of Dolby Atmos, UHQ upscaler bit and bandwith, just bit ect. to no avail. UHQ upscaler makes the problem less apparent, but still there. It is not the headphones, as the problem is not present on my computer. The hiss also does not change in volume as the volume increases. It is consistent above 2 clicks and absent below. I called Samsung and they told me to try and reset the software on site and if that doesn't fix it it's the headphone's fault. I'd rather not do that, so any help is much appreciated. | Posted: 02 Nov 2019 05:40 PM PDT Just got a new SD card for my Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70F, (running android 6.0), it usually works fine with the SD card. But I've noticed that the apps installed on it, after the tablet has been on for 10+ hours, they'll start saying the storage is full. Which it is no where near such, and any apps running on the SD will refuse to start. So far restaring the tablet fixes it, and then it won't appear again for awhile.
