[DEV] Dual Browser - The Lightest Web Browser (just 0.1 mb) Posted: 14 Jan 2018 09:34 AM PST Dual Browser is a free android web browser, contains no ads, no in-app purchases You can have two separate websites open and displayed simultaneously on the screen. Play videos on the first tab while reading news on the second one, visit your social media account or play online game while reading a book or whatever. Basically you can browse the web twice as much. Also you can listen videos/musics in the background while on another website. Just open it and then make the other tab fullscreen, it will continue playing. OTHER FEATURES Night mode So your eyes will be less tired in darker environments. Translate web pages You can view the foreign sites you visit in English. Turn the first tab upside down One of the most different and perhaps best features of the application is that it allows two people to use the device at the same time. Text-only Mode (Load no pictures) You can use the Text-only Mode if you do not want the images to be loaded automatically. With this feature, you save money when mobile data network is on. Desktop mode You can switch to Desktop Mode to use the features that are not available in mobile versions of websites. [link] [comments] |
App for open voiced group conversation (via bluetooth orrouted wifi) Android and iOS Posted: 14 Jan 2018 06:26 AM PST Does such thing exists? . What im trying to achieve here is for a small group of people to be able to communicate on the run via a bluetooth(?) or a tethered wifi connection (one phone host the connection and the others connect). Without the need of internet connection and without needing to operate the phone (just speak freely throught the earbud once connected) Unfortunately it would have to be compatible with iOS too. . i really have no idea of how to even began searching for this so i thought i'd ask it here! Thanks for any reply [link] [comments] |

Network Ping - App that notifies you the status of your Network Connection [DEV] Posted: 14 Jan 2018 05:59 AM PST Hello r/androidapps,
Today I am going to present to you my App.
It is the first app I have developed and it is known as Network Ping, I want to share the app I created. Because maybe it might be useful to you guys and I will also be able to get some feedback :D
Now I have a question did you ever connect to your Mobile Data or a WIFI network and somehow you can't browse or load any videos? Or what if you are already browsing then suddenly the page doesn't load and you are constantly refreshing and you are not sure what is wrong.
This is where NETWORK PING comes in handy. The application runs in the background monitoring the status of your network connection in real-time. Once it encounters a problem with the connection, it will notify you if your network connection has Internet Access or Not.
NETWORK PING Lite provides the following features:

Thanks for your time, GHLApps

Folder synchronization apps (suggestions please) Posted: 14 Jan 2018 06:35 AM PST I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but here goes: I am looking for an app that can synchronize folders I choose so that I can access them from across devices. I tried Dropbox and GoogleDrive hoping their offline functionality was what I was looking for, but no. Right now I am using FolderSync, and it seems to be what I want, so I am considering going for the 'pro' version. But before I do, I would like some suggestions/input/experiences from the community. So here we are. What apps do you use to keep files synchronized [link] [comments] |
An app that can text via wifi if cell service is not available Posted: 14 Jan 2018 10:49 AM PST Hello everyone, I started work at a new place where I don't get any cell service whatsoever. Therefore, I can't send or receive texts nor can I make or receive calls. Calling isn't much of an issue but I need to be able to text. It's at a hospital and not everyone carries a pager. I have colleagues who are in the same boat (no cell service) but they are able to text using imessage and wifi. Is there something similar on the android side of things? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 14 Jan 2018 07:10 AM PST Hi all, Recently I really got bored of Google digital clock widget and I need some nice minimal replacement, it needs to be lightweight, and to have minimal effect on battery life and system resources. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance. [link] [comments] |
Looking for an app to notify me if I'm close to somewhere. Posted: 13 Jan 2018 11:21 PM PST Long story short, I'm a long time bearer of a wonderful Dissociative Identity Discorder. It's gotten to the point where I can stay within a confused state for a prolonged period of time, and in this state I often drive to my old house, workplace, and call people at stupid hours of the morning. I've ended up at places which are by no means safe and sometimes restricted areas. I'm looking for an app that can notify me if I'm within a geographical area/zone so I can somewhat break out of the confusion. I've tried searching for options but haven't been able to land on anything. Can someone point me in the right direction? [link] [comments] |
Issue with Mood Messenger and MMS Posted: 14 Jan 2018 07:55 AM PST Can't seem to find an answer with google. I'm using Mood Messenger and when ever I send a reply to a group chat the only other person using Mood Messenger in that group responds with an automatic message saying service is not available. This message is sent outside the group chat and our one on one text.I do not get that message when replies to the same group msg. Any ideas? [link] [comments] |
Email app which launches to list of accounts Posted: 14 Jan 2018 04:50 AM PST The only thing I am missing since switching from iOS is how I can view my emails on my phone. I use a few outlook accounts as well as a personal Gmail account - I like to manage these all from one app which is not a problem and can be done by numerous apps. However, I am looking for one which opens to the list of accounts, breaking down the number of notifications or unread emails for each app, and from there I can select which inbox to open. This is how the default mail app works on ios - I'm not looking for a clone, just one which shares this feature. I have tried many apps from the play store, and all seem to open to an inbox or combined inbox and the accounts can be switched from the left panel. I have not found one which opens to the list of emails accounts, does such a thing exist? Maybe this is a very niche requirement, but if I wake up to 10 unread emails I like to quickly see at a glance how many are from work or my personal or spam accounts. Thanks for any suggestions! [DEV]Mirkowanie - Idle Parody, which can damage your brain Posted: 14 Jan 2018 07:31 AM PST So, the title don't lie, Mirkowanie is not a normal game, it's, hm, I don't know, one day I couldn't sleep at 4AM, I wanted to make a some crazy game, and I come into idea, of making game about... Website, yes. My game is about polish website "Wykot", it's something like Reddit (but less intelligent, can damage your brain, more fun). It's just specific place with a unique community, just people create on it content + share content. So what we can do in "Mirkowanie"?:
So I was developing this game, because I wanted to have community do something fun + also game got education purpose. I'm 19, i threat gamedev as a hobby, game don't got IAP, got made with $0 budget :( [link] [comments] |
Posted: 14 Jan 2018 03:49 AM PST I need one that does all the following:
For the life of me I can't find one that does at least the first point. Anyone can help? Don't bother suggesting Solid Explorer/FX/MiXplorer/Asus/Total Commander/X-Plore, none of those does SMB video thumbnails. [link] [comments] |
Looking for reminder app for recurring tasks based on how long since the last time you did them Posted: 14 Jan 2018 08:40 AM PST Use case: "Change water filter" (every 8 weeks) "Get a haircut" (every 5 weeks) Then when you do the task you "reset" it so it reminds you again in the future. I don't want it to be too annoying. Just a basic screen that can show "it's time to do these things ...". I know there are some apps out there that are a bit too focused on habit forming and achievements and positive changes and what not. Or they are too productivity focused. I'm looking for something for basic boring chores. [link] [comments] |
Can Firefox Set Desktop Mode Per Website? Posted: 13 Jan 2018 08:46 PM PST I prefer viewing sites in mobile mode but some sites deliberately bug mobile viewers to download and view with their app in that case. I recently installed Firefox and would like to know if its Desktop Mode can be enabled only for specific websites. [link] [comments] |

Alternative to Google Keep with better sharing? Posted: 14 Jan 2018 10:13 AM PST I'm looking for a notes/to-do list app which can be used to share lists easily and allows syncing between Android, iOS and web. Google keep is good, but I feel its bit troublesome at times since it doesn't allow me to mix checkboxes and other content in the same note. A free app would be ideal. Thanks [link] [comments] |
Posted: 14 Jan 2018 02:22 AM PST I am looking specifically for a replacement to an app called "Realarm" that I used on Windows 10. There is one specific feature of Realarm that I'm looking for: Repeat the alarm multiple times within the day. Example Alarm: Goes off at 11am, then again at 3pm, then again at 5pm, then again at 8:45pm. Occurs on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. Is there any Android alarm app that can do this? It's really more of an alarm + reminder combo. Super useful. Thanks, Android community! [link] [comments] |
