SSD wont boot to windows. Still visible in Bios Posted: 04 Nov 2019 08:04 AM PST I'm having an issue where my PC will no longer boot into windows. I am greeted with a "Reboot and select proper boot media or insert boot media in selected disk" The only changes to the system I made was formatting 2 additional hard drives that my primary windows was not installed on. These did have an old instance of windows 7 on them but were only being used for file storage. Steps I've tried. Seems like the most common solutions are with boot priority or hdd connections. I've tried multiple solutions via boot priority and am always getting the same error. Even when removing all but the problem drive. also tried different sata cord and ports. I don't believe this is a cosm battery issue since using another drive with windows one it works fine. Also tried bcdfix commands and chkdsk via cmd prompt and a recocery usb but did not help. The startup recovery when using the usb does not work. no issues were found in the chkdsk scan. Also tried several suggestions via diskpart but was unable to complete them all as the drive is setup as gpt partition. Final steps I tried were changing bios and drive to uefi but this didnt seem to work either. Any suggestions would be agreatly appreciated. I have been able to clone the drive and can access the files on it booting from another HDD but would prefer to not reinstall windows due to the programs and licenses I have on it currently. Laptop shuts off randomly during long photo render. Posted: 03 Nov 2019 09:19 PM PST My dell xps will randomly shut off during a very long photo render. Throttlestop says the CPU is at 49c and cpu use is at around 60-70%. Never have this problem in any other situation. [link] [comments] | ||

WiFi constantly disappearing across multiple devices Posted: 03 Nov 2019 06:11 PM PST WiFi Constantly dropping my devices Hey everyone! I'm currently having issues with my home WiFi system constantly cutting out when using my devices. Sometimes I will be watching a YouTube video on my phone, downloading a game on my computer, or just looking on Facebook when my internet connection over WiFi cuts out. I then go to reconnect, but when I select my main WiFi, it says the password entered is incorrect. I have to completely forget the network and entertainment password into it again for it to connect. Initially I had thought that it was just my iPhone, but it is now happening with my work laptop (MacBook Pro) and my personal laptop, Asus with Windows 10. My router is a Linksys Dualband and is only a few years old (maybe two three years). I have restored both my computer and phone but the problem is constantly going. Any ideas? People in call can hear themselves on Huwaei p20 Lite (ANE-LX1 C432) Posted: 03 Nov 2019 04:17 PM PST Ever since the last update I ran a few days ago and everyone's been hearing their own voice repeated to them when calling me, but they can also hear me at least, is there a way to fix this or at least flash an earlier firmware, and if so, where can I find the proper version? Screenshots of version numbers below. [link] [comments] |
