- Yeah, I made a mistake at fastboot and now my OP6T is stuck on bootloader screen. Hold power + vol up just restart to that screen!
- My SIM cards are no longer working after the OOS10 update on my OnePlus 6. After research, I've come to the conclusion that my EFS partition is most likely corrupted, and I have no backup. What are my options?

| OnePlus 6T Android 10 - Fingerprint animation glitch Posted: 04 Nov 2019 07:03 AM PST Upgraded to A10 the other day and noticed this glitch with the fingerprint animation keeps occurring. The animation keeps playing after unlocking the screen. This particular animation is the "brightest" so I'd like to keep it since it seems to perform the best as far as unlocking goes (whether the extra light actually does anything or if it's all in my head is up for debate). | OP 7 Pro - Occasional Laggy GBoard and Chrome Posted: 04 Nov 2019 12:21 PM PST Hey everyone, have you guys noticed that sometimes Chrome will load web pages and when you scroll its smooth as butter for a moment, then it just freezes and wont scroll up or down? This is on latest OxygenOS and Android 10. It happens on LTE and Wifi, and its not a page loading issue, but it feels like the browser just locks up for a few seconds. It is a relatively new issue. I have to exit out of chrome and swipe it away and then reopen it to get it to work. Also I have seen very frequent lag when using Gboard. Reminds me of the old android days when this happened all the time on older phones. Anybody else having these issues? | From 1st gen pixel xl to OP7 pro 12GB Posted: 04 Nov 2019 11:22 AM PST TL;DR I like it, I dont love it. Need help with tweaks. Title. I know, I know. "You got a new phone who cares" but I wanted to share my thoughts and also ask for some of yours as well. Things I like: Speed: its DUMB fast. No constant reloading of apps Battery: My pixel was at the point of not making it through a full day without topping it off a few times at least. Even with 90hz enabled my 7 pro is already way better. Warp charge: 60% battery from zero in 30 mins. Incredible. Im actually not going to keep it on the charger all night. Theres no need. Speakers: Stupid loud. I actually have to turn down to a little above half lol. 90hz: Say no more Somewhere in the middle: fingerprint scanner: its accurate "enough" but I still feel like having it on the back of a device a la the old pixels of yore was superior. I can deal though Curved edges: I dont hate them but they dont really add anything to the device. Id argue it takes away slightly from using the phone. I feel like I get mispresses way more often when trying to select certain icons near the edges of the screen. Which brings me to my next point..... Things I dislike: Oxygen gestures on Android 10: They suck. Swiping from either left or right or bottom-left and bottom-right is completely inconsisntent. I can be scrolling in lets say gmail and instead of going back I get a huge scroll that takes me back to emails from august this year lol. I thought it was maybe the case I had on it but even without a case these gestures are pretty terrible. Android 10 on even the OG pixel was more polished. Scroll speed: Seems inconsistent. Like almost too fast? I dunno I feel like im going crazy sometimes lol. Im scrolling IG and It just skips like 4 posts abruptly cause the scroll speed jumped like crazy. Is there anyway to change this or is this just the 90hz affect? Overall I like the phone. I dont love it. Ive only had it for not even 24 hrs yet and Im still trying to get acclimated. Truth be told I almost just replaced the battery in my OG pixel as per accubattery (whether you believe an app can accurately measure a devices battery) my pixels battery health was 55%. Even though Im a google fanboy I dont want the pixel 4. I cant justify the price for what you get and Im not crazy about face unlock only. so my questions. How can I tweak the above things I dislike and is there anything I can change to have a better experience using this phone? Thanks [link] [comments] |

I'm on OP 7T, so it takes up 27GB straight out of the box. I came from OP3 where 9.0 had ~7GB. bless the 128 GB, but dam. The only issues so far is Google keyboard is raised up which throws me off but no big deal. The other is Google Pay keeps saying my software isn't supported. That's a problem since I stopped carrying my credit card a few weeks ago cause it's accepted everywhere I need to shop. But now I have to use my card again. Factory reset and the issue still persists. I've also checked of the smsc number is correct and it is. My data is fine and I can still make calls it's just texts that are screwed. BUT the weird thing is; when I switch to WiFi I see the 4G changing to the WiFi symbol but the letters keep saying VoLTE. My 2.4 still works though. I reset my home network, forgot the wifis again and still only allowed to use the 2.4 band. Even disabled private DNS and same results. [link] [comments] |

| Strange battery drain on Android Auto since update to 10.1 Posted: 04 Nov 2019 01:49 PM PST I have a OnePlus 7 Pro and updated this weekend to Oxygen OS 10.0.1.GM21AA. Prior to that update, my phone would always charge when connected to my car's (Kia Optima) Android Auto Screen via USB cable while using Waze and PocketCast. I would typically have a full charge after my common 90 minute drive while using those apps in Android Auto the whole time. Today, I had two 90 minute drives, and my phone battery drained both times. You can see the 2 steep drop-offs here: https://imgur.com/a/ezkQAvc . It's also strange that Android Auto, Waze, or Pocket Casts doesn't show up as apps draining battery at all. Any ideas what might be going on? I searched battery and Android Auto settings on my phone and can't figure it out. I have a good USB cable that has given me no problems before. Thanks! I tried readding my card to my phone, only to have it tell me that my device "has been modified or rooted" in some way. I went to the play store and discovered my 6T somehow didn't have play protect certification. Is this unique to converted TMobile units? And how was this missed? And is there a fix? For whatever reason, when I hit the expand button for the video to put it into landscape mode, the left half of the screen would be filled by another tab in the browser.
