I wait and hope and try hard to be still, when all I want to do is pace or bite my nails or tap my foot on the floor – or run away. There's no one to talk with or yell at or listen to. It's just me. I'm all alone and waiting for MIUI 11. I've already prepared for the worst, yet it never comes. Nothing comes. No tears, no laughter, no conversation. No thing and no one. I wait in silence. I can't even hear my digital clock tick away the seconds. I can't hear the noise of the air conditioner or a refrigerator. I hear – nothing but my heartbeat between beats, I can't hear a single, solitary sound. Not hearing may be worse than waiting or not knowing. It's all bad. But waiting in silence is the worst. I wait and wait for MIUI. Eventually, I fall asleep and sometime during the night, hoping it happens. Xiaomi should fix YouTube pip mode with miui gestures Posted: 30 Oct 2019 01:28 PM PDT There's a bug on YouTube and miui gestures When you normally press the home button while YouTube is playing a video it automatically gets to Picture in picture mode. With miui gestures there's no pip mode the video plays in the background and when you open YouTube again it freezes to a transparent pip mode the you can't use the gestures anymore. Posted: 30 Oct 2019 08:17 AM PDT Greetings /r/Xiaomi This morning I woke up and found my Mi9t dead. At first I thought it was weird, it never happened and I was honestly upset to find out that my new phone now has the same problems as my old phone. Anyway, I had errands to do this morning, so I quickly put it on charge, got it to 30%, which was enough to get me through everything, and I would've looked up to it the moment I came back home. I did some research and apparently it is a common issue of MiUI 11: for some reason every single app that's installed in your phone is set to autostart. I charged the phone to 100% and unplugged it at 11:30; by 13:30 it was down to 87%, it was idleing the whole time and it was quite hot to touch, as if something was running the whole time. I discovered that everyone of my apps was set to autostart, so I went into the app settings and deactivated for basically all of them (with few exception of course). I left my phone completely idle since 14:15 at 86% and literally just now it dropped to 85%, so I guess that was the issue: every app in my phone was running at the same time. What bothers me the most is that this happened completely random. Last week everything was fine, phone would idle for basically two days and would have a lot of battery life to spare, but this morning it decided to just do some weird stuff. I believe I didn't do anything to cause this issue, is there anyone who could provide more information on this? Hope this helps :) EDIT: did a stupid typo. When playing Battle Royale mode on CODM. I got massive lag and FPS drop. Only getting 15-20fps, even with the lowest settings. I am getting stable 60fps on multiplayer. Pocophone F1 crashes when I plug in a charger Posted: 30 Oct 2019 05:23 PM PDT Been using my Pico F1 for just over a year now and I love it, it's a great phone with a lot of positives. Lately, however, whenever I plug in the USB C charger cable, the phone crashes. Either it enters a bootloop or the OS simply freezes up for a couple of minutes. This happens regardless of the charger cable and plug socket (have tried multiple combinations). It's running the latest available MIUI 10.3.8.0 and it's model M1805E10A. Is there any fix for this? When I introduced it everything went fine, asked me for the pin, I entered it and it went fine. But then I try to call the number and it just goes directly to the voice mail, sms don't arrive either. I found a call options in calls apps, so i can toggle on some action that when i flip my phone downsides, it stop ringing and vibrating, and other that when i flip my phone up, ring volume decreases, oh man, what a time to be alive!, Who need a radar? I wanted to root it with Magisk, while still being able to receive OTA updates, and I read that there is a way for some other devices with a pre-patched boot.img. The problem is, since the phone is pretty new, there is no stock firmware of it on the internet for me to extract the files for patching. Amy other way to do it, without installinf custom recovery (since it would prevent OTAs)? Mi A1 making a weird, random sound Posted: 30 Oct 2019 08:19 AM PDT It actually started this morning and I noticed it at least 5 times until now, when I was scrolling Instagram or just my gallery (with the Instagram app closed). Suddenly a female voice on my phone goes "Hmmm" (like she just had realized something, no kidding), and that's it. I have my phone for 1 1/2 years and that's the first time something as strange as this happened. Could it be a bug? An app going crazy? A Halloween prank to scare me?
