[DEV] Shapes - endless puzzle game now available on Google Play

    Posted: 30 Oct 2019 05:10 PM PDT

Hi, I'm the designer behind Shapes - endless puzzle game which was published on Google Play yesterday. It's a simple puzzle game that challenges you to create lines of blocks in an order in which every block has either the same shape or color (or both) with the next and the previous blocks. You can download the game here and I'll be happy to hear some feedback from you. This is the first game by my indie studio Velociraptor Games and I really hope you'll enjoy it :)

What do you use to find games?

    Posted: 30 Oct 2019 06:24 PM PDT

I mostly use google play store and qooapp, both are of course not always that helpful - what sites or apps do you use?

[Opinion] The true definition of auto-play MMO's

    Posted: 30 Oct 2019 06:15 AM PDT

First of all I would like to mention that English is not my mother tongue, so bare with.

I was listening to a gaming podcast earlier today. They cover all aspects of gaming, all platforms, etc. They touched the subject of auto-play in mobile MMO's (and sometimes even other platforms). However you put it, there is so much hate towards these kind of games.. "It's pointless" 'You're just watching the game play itself", ....

Opinions like these really frustrate me. I am a 28 year old adult with limited time to play games. Gaming on mobile is the perfect solution to still play games while combining it with my professional/personal life.

My perception on auto play games is totally different from these general opinions. I look at them in a sense of management games. Like MMO-manager, RPG-manager. The games play themselves when I do not have time. I can log-in, do my upgrades, equipment management, dungeons, leave the game on auto farm (off or online) and still get a sense of satisfaction. I wish the gaming community would approach these games with a more open mind.

    Thanks for reading!

[REQUEST] Looking for a multiplayer party mobile game to play with friends

    Posted: 30 Oct 2019 07:40 PM PDT

Hello everyone. Would love to hear some suggestions for a multiplayer mobile game that can be played together with a bunch of (2-4) friends either over internet connection or wifi hotspot.

Some criteria that would be great:

    • Action / arcade genre (not sure what this genre is called - brawl? - think Bomber Friends and Rocket Fist)
    • PVP or Co-op
    • Short games (one round to last maybe 2-5 minutes so many rounds can be played)
    • Not a MOBA (mainly because they take too long)
    • Locally hosted game played amongst ourselves (no matchmaking with random strangers)

Similar games that I had played before (some on platforms other than mobile) so you guys have a better idea the gameplay I'm looking for:

    • Bomber Friends
    • Fun Run
    • Space Team
    • Rocket Fist (Switch)
    • Magicka (the PVP mode. Played this on PC)
    • Crash Team Racing (Arena mode - the kind where there's no race, but we just drive around killing each other in an enclosed area. Played on Playstation)

    Thanks in advance!

Key mapping apps for PS4 controller

    Posted: 30 Oct 2019 07:25 PM PDT

So I got cod mobile and was wondering if there's any apps that can help me use a PS4 controller with it. The octopus one is the only one I can find but it does not support cod mobile anymore.

Pixel RPG where you create/customize your party?

    Posted: 30 Oct 2019 01:37 AM PDT

I know, I know, pretty specific ask. However I've looked around and wasn't able to find any.

Looking for a game similar to something like Final Fantasy Tactics where you can create party members by choosing the class and customizing them.

Please let me know if you know any like that!

    Any game like this?

    Posted: 30 Oct 2019 05:27 AM PDT

I have this game in my phone for a while, dont even remember how I found it. The gameplay is great but pacing is too slow and there are ads with no IAP option. Anyone know a similar game but better?
