OnePlus live chat support is almost laughably terrible Posted: 30 Oct 2019 09:26 AM PDT I noticed that my 12-day old OP7t stopped charging today. I tried a different cable and had the same result. I then plugged it into an after-market charger and it charged no problem. I figured I would contact customer support since the charger should be under warranty. The customer service agent that I talked with was named "Bianca Rose". I told her the situation and she told me to try a different one plus charger, and I told her that the only one plus charger I had was the one that came with my phone, at which point she told me to find a friend or family member that had a OnePlus charger I could use. I explained to her that I didn't know anybody else that had a OnePlus phone as they aren't terribly popular here in the US just yet. But I told her that my phone charged just fine with the aftermarket charger that I tried. She repeated the same request two more times and I had to keep explaining to her that I didn't know anybody that had a one plus charger that I could use. After that, I think she finally understood me, as she asked for my order number to verify the purchase date. "Great" I thought. Now we're getting somewhere. This is where it went from bad to worse. After I gave her the order number, she asked for a photocopy of my driver's license front and back and a photocopy of the credit card I used to make the purchase front and back. I told her there was no way in hell that I was going to give her any of that. She proceeded to say that it was company policy to get that info for exchanges. I repeated myself, and she told me that without the photocopies, she would be unable to assist me further. I asked for a supervisor, and she disconnected the chat. I've heard horror stories of OP customer support, but oh boy was I unprepared for this... [link] [comments]

Posted: 30 Oct 2019 06:25 PM PDT I have a Pixel 3XL which runs "fine" and as expected. I am seriously considering a OP7P (its in my cart right now). The reason for the switch besides my disappointment with the Pixel 4 is a new requirement for a dual sim phone. I'm still keeping the P3XL for work and for the camera, but I'm excited to see the differences. Does anyone know if the 15 day return clock starts at shipping or at receipt? Also does anyone recommend any of the insurance add-ons? [link] [comments]
Posted: 30 Oct 2019 07:50 AM PDT Recently picked up a OP7 and I've been looking at options for wireless earbuds/headphones. What would you suggest for about €150 [link] [comments]
Came from a $150 Huawei phone to the One plus 7T and holy shit... Posted: 30 Oct 2019 12:09 AM PDT Decided to jump the boat and buy a new phone after using the Huawei Honor 6X for a few years. Bought the OP7T and holy mother of god, it's seamlessly beautiful and seamlessly smooth. Sometimes I just zone out sitting and admiring this beauty. The 90 Hz display gives me constant hard ons. Posted: 30 Oct 2019 04:51 PM PDT Is there anything that the OnePlus 7 doesn't do better than the OG pixel XL? I'm contemplating on buying the OP7 from some place like AliExpress or similar due to pricing. Specifically comparing the two cameras is it safe to say the OP7s camera beats the OG pixel Xls? OP 6T: Messaging app says SMS not sent, but it was successfully received Posted: 30 Oct 2019 08:08 PM PDT Recently my 6T has developed a weird problem - when I send an SMS via the default Messaging app it says the message has not been sent, but I get a reply from the recipient so it has obviously got through! If I retry the message, it gets through again and I get people asking why I've sent the message twice! Anyone else had this issue? [link] [comments]
Issue with the video recordings after OP 7 updated to Android 10 Posted: 30 Oct 2019 07:35 PM PDT Hello, I bought one plus 7 a month before especially to record video blogs and other videos for YouTube. Now a week before I got new update android 10. After updating to OS10. I can record videos without any problem. When i play the recorded videos, it plays properly in all video media player. But when I import these videos for Editing in premier pro. The imported video shortens for 5-10 seconds and audio layer gets adjusted to remaining video portion. This causes mismatch in audio and video layer. I tried again many clips but the same problem. First I thought there is a problem with premier pro but premier imports the videos that are shot before update perfectly fine also I imported videos shot with other phone. They also work fine. If anyone encounter this problem, please comment down the solution to fix it. If anyone from OnePlus team reading this, please check this problem. I bought this phone for blogging and it even does not support external mic in native camera app. So I cant use my external mic. Please OnePlus address these issues and solve it. Why there is no support for external mic for native camera app? How one can record audio standing far from the device. Whenever I put some issue in this community, rather than providing solution, my post gets downvoted. Is this community not to ask for the problems with device? [link] [comments]
7T on T-Mobile: 128gb US for $600, or 256gb International for $510? Posted: 30 Oct 2019 07:29 PM PDT Really a question of opinion, but I'm interested in what you folks would choose and why. Or maybe I should just wait for #BlackFriday? [link] [comments]
Need Help/Opinions. 7T arriving tomorrow but 7Pro new price Posted: 30 Oct 2019 01:27 PM PDT Ordered the 7T a couple days ago and it arrives tomorrow. I live in the US if that makes a diff (we only get 7T & 7Pro models). I went with the 7T for the flat screen, the upgraded macro shot camera, slightly cheaper price, and ship with android 10. Was a little skeptical about the screen being 1080p as I have had 1440p screens for the past 5 years. To me the screen is very important because it's the thing I interact most with on the device. Problem is i'm not a big fan of curved screens, but in fairness I have never owned a curved screen device. Is it a concession I'd be willing to live with for better resolution? However, now that the 7 Pro model has been knocked down to $649 here with double the storage (256GB), I'm wondering if I should just immediately return 7T and purchase the 7 Pro. Better screen resolution + no notch and pop-up novelty camera worth sacrificing flat screen + macro camera shot + android10 out of the box? Any input really appreciated [link] [comments]
How many people have display issues on the 7T? Posted: 30 Oct 2019 07:27 AM PDT So basically I just returned my 7T for the 3rd time and I am getting kind of sick of it. Each device I've received has had some bad green tint issues and when looking at the official forums it seems that many people are complaining while Oneplus just ignores the issue. So I'd like to know, how many of you 7T owners on this subreddit have had display issues? And are they noticable / acceptable etc? [link] [comments]
Posted: 30 Oct 2019 06:58 PM PDT As the title suggests, my battery is nowhere near as good as it used to be. It used to get around 7hr40min on a charge, but now, after 3 months, it's only around 6hr20min. I did a cache wipe and nothing has changed either. Help/advice would be nice. P.S. I have always run the phone at 1080@90 [link] [comments]
GCam processing HDR pics forever Posted: 30 Oct 2019 07:30 AM PDT Ever since the OS update, when I take pics using the GCam app, the picture never shows up in my gallery and a filled up bar that never finishes saying "Processing HDR" shows up in the notification bar up top. Does anybody else get this? [link] [comments]
PSA: For those looking to LOCK their OP3 Bootloader Posted: 30 Oct 2019 07:27 AM PDT After entering "fastboot oem lock", please make sure to PICK NO. I can't believe OnePlus mixed up Yes and No. Basically, pick NO to lock the bootloader. God.. not sure how many times have I picked Yes and it just restarts. Another source [link] [comments]
Looking to make the jump to OP, but where do I start? Posted: 30 Oct 2019 06:34 PM PDT So a little background, my Pixel 2XL has been my daily driver but I was really hyped and ready for the 4XL until well....yea. That being said I started branching out and the value of the OP lines really spoke to me but the question is....which do I get? The 7T or the 7 Pro? They both look great, alot of the reviews don't show too many differences save for screen resolution/curved vs flat. Does anyone have any personal experiences with the phones that have really made their model stand out for them? Or is it kind of a wash between the two? [link] [comments]
[OP7P] Charging with a PD charger Posted: 30 Oct 2019 01:44 AM PDT I noticed recently that charging with a PD charger is as slow as with a "normal" USB charger (0.3% per minute). I thought Oneplus 7Pro supported PD (to some extent)? Do I need to change some settings or is it a bug? I am on Android 10.0.1, BTW. [link] [comments]
Posted: 30 Oct 2019 02:13 PM PDT I love how they advertise 0% APR all over the website. I was pre-approved for $5000 with Affirm. Then they tried to hit me with a 26% interest rate at checkout. Nah, fuck you Affirm. I cancelled that shit. I don't have perfect credit, but it's really good. High 700s. I'd love to know who in the hell has gotten 0% from them. [link] [comments]
Posted: 30 Oct 2019 08:59 AM PDT I did it, I've ordered a 7T Pro to replace my smashed iPhone X. It's been a while since I've had an android but I'm really excited and I know I've made a good choice in phone :) [link] [comments]
7T Live Wallpapers not working on 7 Pro Posted: 30 Oct 2019 08:18 AM PDT Ever since I updated to Open Beta 4, 7T Live wallpapers haven't been working on my 7 Pro. They give me a blank screen for a few seconds and then show this default wallpaper. Workaround? Anyone else have this issue? [link] [comments]
OP7T joneplustools force 90hz not an option? Posted: 30 Oct 2019 08:39 AM PDT I've downloaded the app to force 90hz on my OP7T. Gave permissions in adb, but there is no option. Any ideas? [link] [comments]
Posted: 30 Oct 2019 08:22 AM PDT I have the 7Pro. I'm using the transparent case that came with the phone. What I really want is a transparent skin that I can use to cover the entire phone. Something protective where I can still see the phone. [link] [comments] |
