After being so saddened by the pixel and distraught over current options, I took the leap with the 7T and couldn't be happier. This display is so nice man.

Only issue is the GPS is hit or miss and the camera isn't that good. But the performance is insane. Charge time is nuts and battery seems to be okay for the moment.

    Awesome substitution against the pixel.

    Android 10 Issues

    Posted: 28 Oct 2019 07:36 PM PDT

    Hi r/oneplus,

I've noticed several nuisances since I downloaded Android 10.

    • One of my picture messages from today was received on a friend's iPhone 6 times.
    • Reachability Cursor no longer works. I realize this is probably an issue on the application side but I still miss it!
    • Battery life. I have not measured it, but I've noticed that I spend a lot more time plugging in my phone with no significant change in my SOT.
    • Photos used to appear instantly in the Gallery after taking them. They now typically take 1 to 2 minutes to appear so that I can send them via text.

Has anyone else noticed any issues with Android 10? Is there a timeline for patches to roll out?

Canadian here, OnePlus 7 Pro or 7T Pro?

    Posted: 28 Oct 2019 04:38 PM PDT

I'd really want the 7T Pro. But the only way to get it is through 3rd party websites which do not offer warranties. The macro lens and Android 10 out of box is really enticing to me. What should I do? I do need a new phone, currently on a dying Pixel 2 and I'm a heavy user.

So, is OnePlus really the best Android experience?

    Posted: 28 Oct 2019 10:53 AM PDT

I'm switching from Mi9 to OnePlus 7 cause i'm tired of Xiaomi lack of attention for software and updates in favor of releasing 30 phones a year, also almost every reviewer i've heard so far says that the OnePlus Os is their best version of Android and it performs and look even better than the Google Pixel one, do you OnePlus owners agree?

So OnePlus sells phones with inferior AMOLED displays with Uniformity issues and Tints and then denies refund or replacement citing it as Normal!

    Posted: 28 Oct 2019 04:38 AM PDT

I had already detailed on previous posts on how i bought a OnePlus 7 and it has been replaced twice, once by Amazon and once by OnePlus. Both units had Uniformity issues.

    https://www.reddit.com/r/oneplus/comments/dkptwd/whats_with_these_amoled_displays_and/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share

As i got the 3rd unit, it also surprisingly has Uniformity issue. And with dark mode getting universal with Android 10, it has got even worse. Literally every app with dark mode shows it.

And then when i contacted OnePlus in hope of a resolution (refund), they said that this Uniformity issue and tinting is normal on Amoled screens. And service centre guys gave even more absurd reasoning that even Huawei and iPhones had this issue so it's normal.

I mean next they will start treating even horrible displays like as in Pixel 2 XL as normal. How much will OnePlus fall?

Rarely anyone has complained about such issues on OnePlus 7 Pro and 7T Pro but OnePlus 7 and 7T are seeing so many complaints. Quite clear that OnePlus is sourcing cheaper and inferior panels on Non Pro models.

And on the top of that they are not even ready to accept the problem and are calling it the new normal.

I told service centre guys that i had 3T earlier and it didn't have any such issue, laughingly the technician gave reasoning that OnePlus 7 and above have even more advanced technology displays, so they have this problem 😂😂😂. WTH!

When OnePlus replaced my unit the 1st time, they accepted it. That means it is an issue. But now their technicians are receiving communication from the top that consider this issue as normal. Most likely many people are getting this problem so they don't want to replace so many units.

I think this will be my last OnePlus despite the fact that i stuck to the brand due to their updates and OxygenOS. Even if samsung is slow in updates, they use top quality hardware and don't cheap out. Time to go back to S and Note series.

I don't understand gallery vs Google photos

    Posted: 28 Oct 2019 06:26 PM PDT

I know gallery is the OnePlus photo/video manager. Sometimes when I take video or photos they go to the gallery and not to the Google photos app. This doesn't always happen.

    I don't understand.

Battery life with 90hz on my 7T is really impressive

    Posted: 28 Oct 2019 02:18 AM PDT

90hz was always on, Bluetooth always active, location services on, brightness between 50-75%, dual sim, 50% WiFi/LTE, no gaming, just social media, browsing, camera, texting, a lot of Spotify streaming.

Screen on Time 7:30h Total usage 20h https://imgur.com/a/QFiAvbm

I have never reached this stats on my old 6T!

    Outgoing calls problem on 6T

    Posted: 28 Oct 2019 05:43 PM PDT

Out of nowhere, my 6T has stopped being able to make outgoing calls. After tapping a number it starts the calling screen and then after a few seconds of silence, there is a beep, and the call ends. Not even a ring. Incoming calls and internet are fine. Anybody know how to resolve this? Have tried turning airplane mode on and off, retsarting and also resetting my phone. Have also not changed any settings either, the phone was making calls yesterday, and now today it isn't. Thanks for reading.

Possible to Flash 1+7T CN IN version of phone with NA version & will the ROM change add NA bands?

    Posted: 28 Oct 2019 04:43 PM PDT

Hey, I live in the U.S. and found a great deal on the international version of the 7T (8GB / 256GB variant) for $506.99. I noticed the bands differ slightly than the North American version (although most bands are included on most carriers here, sans a couple). I was wondering if it is possible to flash the NA ROM onto the international version thereby enabling the NA bands? If the hardware is the same, shouldn't it be able to broadcast on the correct bands?

Thanks in advance (go easy i'm slightly noob on band info)

    7T standby drain

    Posted: 28 Oct 2019 04:50 AM PDT

I had posted earlier about the battery drain being pretty bad, but was trying to give it some time. Still seems pretty horrible. Not sure if there is a fix, if this is standard, or if I should get a replacement. I got it the day it came out so a little over a week.

    https://i.imgur.com/t1jgbJf_d.jpg?maxwidth=640&shape=thumb&fidelity=medium

12% from 7 hours, most of which it was sitting on a table while I was sleeping. No obvious cause as Google Play services is only claiming 1%

I saw some talking about 7 pro and clearing cache, would this do anything? Or was that from doing the upgrade on that phone? If this isn't normal I could try to do that and maybe a reset before trying to exchange it.

Any Good OnePlus 7T Screen Protectors?

    Posted: 28 Oct 2019 04:02 PM PDT

I have purchased 2 different screen protectors and (all 3 of) one of them half edges that don't adhere completely. The other one looks similar to the official OnePlus screen protector, but with no adhesive in the middle (only black portions). Has anyone had good experiences with a particular screen protector for the 7T or am I going to have to drop $35 on the official one?

What is the worst thing about OnePlus phone according to you ? Let's get all the worst things and let them know.

    Posted: 28 Oct 2019 07:54 AM PDT

I have a OnePlus 6T and thr worst thing i hate about it is the auto brightness. Except that, it's a great phone and i love it.

My phone only charges quickly after I replug the cable a 2nd time.

    Posted: 28 Oct 2019 07:39 AM PDT

So the 7 Pro can charge at 5V-6A from 0% to 30%, but my phone NEVER gets 6A, only 4A when you plug it in the first time. If you pull the wire out and replug it, it gets the correct 6A, as measured by AccuBattery or Ampere.

Does anybody have the same issue, or have a spare moment to test this out? I would greatly appreciate it!

Can't get RCS Messaging to work on 6T

    Posted: 28 Oct 2019 11:20 AM PDT

Anyone found a way to get that working?

    Original tutorial: https://www.reddit.com/r/UniversalProfile/comments/dnbrbk/tutorial_enable_rcs_on_any_carrierdevice_with/

I'm on T-Mobile Messages beta Downloaded Carrier Services

But I keep getting stuck at verifying the phone number. It keeps saying "attempting ..." And will send me a confirmation number but then there's nowhere to enter the number in.

Also the little setup thing on the main messages screen will say setting up (in the background) but never gets past that.

I feel like it's probably possible on this phone and there's something else I need to do, but can't figure out what.

Need new phone, decided on one plus, BUT...

    Posted: 28 Oct 2019 02:37 PM PDT

Currently rocking the pixel 1, it's really on it's way out. It has been since last year and it's held on for dear life until now.

I don't want to pixel 4 and I'm not gonna spend time talking about what I want and don't why and why, as it's not the point of this post.

I'll get to the point, which One Plus devices can currently be used on Verizon? I keep searching and get conflicting information.

The only thing I care about is I do not want a curved edge screen. And based off what I know at the moment, the only One Plus 7 or 7T devices that work on Verizon have curved edge screens. Is this true or not? Which non curved edge devices will work on Verizon in the One Plus family, preferably I want a 7 or 7T
