Posted: 31 Oct 2019 06:50 PM PDT I am having an issue connecting to my home wifi on my Galaxy Tab E. Every time it tries to connect, the tablet always says "internet may not be available" and I have no internet. There are at least a dozen other devices in the household all of which observe zero problems connecting to our wifi at all except this one. This is the only one that will not connect. There are only four devices connected to the 5G frequency including the Galaxy Tab E while all the others are connected to the 2.5G. The Galaxy Tab E will not connect to either. Same "internet may not be available" I tried turning wifi off and back on, I tried having the tablet forget the two wifi networks, and I tried restarting the tablet but I am still getting "internet may not be available" error message and no internet on this tablet. This was never a problem until today Does anybody know what the problem could be? [link] [comments] |
Full screen ads no matter what app I'm in? Posted: 31 Oct 2019 10:36 PM PDT I'm getting these ridiculous pop up ads, regardless of what app I'm using or if I'm even using an app at all. Anyone know how to fix this? I have a Note 9. [link] [comments] |

Adding school email blocks Google assistant features (Pixel 4 XL) Posted: 31 Oct 2019 08:11 PM PDT When I add my school gmail to my personal phone it makes my Google assistant lose the continue conversation feature and slows down significantly to how it was on my pixel 3. Google support is of no help. Does anyone have a solution for this? [link] [comments] |

Why Android never utilizes all of it's RAM? Posted: 31 Oct 2019 12:01 PM PDT I now have OP7 Pro with 8 GB of RAM, and the maximum utilized RAM is always around 4-5 GB, when launching more and more apps it starts kicking them out from RAM. I know that OxygenOS can be particularly agressive on killing apps, but I have never really seen a screenshot of a phone with 8+ GB of RAM, where the used RAM was over 6-7 GB. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 31 Oct 2019 07:27 PM PDT hello, i just updated my huawei p20 to the latest software version, which requires a restart. after the restart, i am asked to enter my PIN. now i'd like to know WHICH pin. the one i set for the phone or my sim-pin? i have tried entering the pin from my main sim (i have 2, one for data and another prepaid one for calls & sms) and it won't let me in. i have forgotten the pin i set to unlock the lockscreen, since i usually use fingerprint or facial recognition (often facial recognition is done before i can even enter my pin when i want to). i have tried to lock my phone from https://www.google.com/android/find and set a new password but it doesn't work (says "device not reachable"). also i have tried to sign out from my phone from https://myaccount.google.com/device-activity as suggested on several websites since you can enter a new password there, but again, can't reach the device (keeps saying "trying to reach device..." (rough translation since i dont have it in english)). by the time writing this, it tells me the phone has been signed out. but no password has been changed. still can't log in. i have a huawei-id and was logged in with it on the phone. wifi was on, gps too, but i believe these things are turned off by default after restarting and not unlocking it. what can i do? i definitely do not want to reset my phone. under all circumstances. there has to be a solution to unlock your phone when you forget your stupid 4-character-pin that you never use because facial recognition or fingerprint is way easier, other than a reset. also because fingerprint & facial recognition is locked after a restart. while searching for a solution, i came across an article saying that setting a new password from the 2 google pages linked above does not work on huawei or nexus phones. if that's really the case and the only way to unlock huawei phones is by a reset, i am sorry to say that i would never buy huawei again. i am very happy with the phone but i think it's a little harsh that there's no help when you forget your pin. (i still don't know which pin is needed, but since it doesn't work when i enter my main-sim-pin, i'm guessing it's the phone's pin) i hope someone can help me, kind regards [link] [comments] |

Imported a 1plus 7T Pro from china.. can I trust it? Posted: 31 Oct 2019 06:39 PM PDT Welll I ordered a 7t pro from ebay and it showed up today very obviously from China. Is there anyway I can verify the rom? Also anything I should look out for from the Chinese .gov? Also the security stickers are unfortunately interesting - there is a white rectangle sticker that says "don't accept if tampered" and then a circular clear sticker on top. I was excited and was quick in opening it so I can't tell if the circular sticker was covering up some tampering or not. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 31 Oct 2019 06:04 PM PDT Hi. i know this is a super weird question, but is there a way to purposely slow down my android phone a ton? Im switching to a Galaxy S10+ 5G and i want the difference to feel as big as possible. More specifically, is there a way to bottleneck the fingerprint sensor, and drain battery really fast? again, weird question, but thanks! [link] [comments] |

ColorOS 6 missing Region Setting Posted: 31 Oct 2019 05:25 PM PDT Hey all, I've finally switched back to Android after rocking an iPhone for 2 years. I picked up a cheap OPPO a9x since the specs looked good and figured it would last until the OnePlus 8 is released. Now most the Oppo apps, are in Chinese and after two days of searching online and trying several methods (very little info on the a9x), I still can't seem to gain access to the region settings. I've also tried Activity Launcher I know it exists but it seems ColorOS is trying it's damn hardest to keep me from it. Any tips, I'm at a loss now. [link] [comments] |
How to remove "disabled vehicle ahead" on Google Maps. Posted: 31 Oct 2019 08:40 AM PDT Anyone know how to mute certain notifications? It's a new feature and there here were about 5 disabled cars on my 30 min trip. I don't care if there's a disabled car ahead. Sorry if didn't post this right. Looked it up and couldn't find anything. Thought this would be a good place to ask. [link] [comments] |
Those who have enabled RCS chat in Messages: Have you lost chat support today? Posted: 31 Oct 2019 01:37 PM PDT I have been using RCS via Messages since the workaround was announced, but lost support today. I have gone through the steps used to enable it, but nothing is working. I am using an unlocked OnePlus 7 Pro on T-Mobile with the international firmware installed (official Android 10 build). Phone did an unprompted reset and lost mostly everything, send help! Posted: 31 Oct 2019 05:06 PM PDT I've got a Samsung Galaxy Core Prime (SM-G360V) that's about 4 years old. I was just browsing reddit today on my phone through a 3rd party app (Boost), and my phone flickered, swapped through a couple other apps I had open then died. With about 70% battery left. It's been doing this for a couple months now, doesn't matter what app I'm using, it just sorta dies around 70% battery. When I plugged in and restarted my phone as I've done too many times before, I see the default icy blue lock screen (which is not normal). I swipe to open and I'm prompted for the first time to set up a Samsung Account, so I do (because the window won't close). Now I'm stuck on a mostly white screen some blue patterns on at the top. This appears to be what my home button now thinks is the home screen, but it's completely blank. I can access my phones settings through the drop down menu at the top and only through accessing Easy Mode can I get to the actual home screen. Which brings me to another big issue here, ALL my stuff has been reset! I still have some downloaded apps but all my personal info (app log ins, contact info, phone preferences etc.) is gone! I haven't been able to restore anything from back ups. I've come to terms with the lost data, but does anyone know how to fix the home button? The only way I can actually do anything is by turning on/off Easy Mode through the settings, but the home button will always bring me back to that blank white and blue page. tldr; Phone is old and crappy and reset itself when it's battery "died" now I'm effectively stuck on a blank home page with limited functionality. Send help pls! Thanks :) If there's any additional info I can provide that would be helpful, please ask. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 31 Oct 2019 03:25 PM PDT Apologies if this is wrong place to post this... I've been having issues with my phone for the past week or so. Nothing Beyond ads popping up but they only appear after V the phone is unlocked. It seems like I've tried everything to figure out the cause. The one thing I think is weird it seems as if he's ads are being prompted by a website rather than a installed application. I've tried ad blocking apps, web page blocking apps and bringing up the window that shows all of the current apps. When the window is brought up to show all current apps the web page ad shows up for a instant and then disappears as if it was never there. So I'm unable to figure out where this is really coming. If anyone has any suggestions or advice it would be incredibly helpful as I'm at a loss of what to do. Edit : m.issuedaily.net is the site that pops up after unlock [link] [comments] |
