Microphone not working when plugged in with splitter, or aux to usb.

    Posted: 24 Feb 2021 09:22 AM PST

Just bought a new desktop (first one ever!), Asus ROG but my WH-1004 Bose headphones mic won't seem to pick up anything when connected to it.

Only way it'll work is with Bluetooth but then I encounter that age-old problem where I can't get surround sound in a game while another sound application because of how stupid Bluetooth works.

I've tried uninstalling drivers and bought a usb converter but no luck. At this point, I'm unsure of whether the problem is with windows or Asus since my headphones mic work fine with my phone.

When plugged into the front of my PC via a splitter, the mic is recognized as "Microphone (Realtek(R) Audio), when I'm using the usb converter no input device is even found but the sound is a lot nice imo.

Self built PC wont boot :(

I finally finished building my computer, but when I finally connected It to my monitor, keyboard et cetera, I had no image at all. Neither the keyboard or mouse lit up or work. All LEDs work perfectly, including my rgb ram. ALL fans work. It simply does not boot. Here are my specs: Aorus 520M Motherboard Ryzen 5 5600x Gtx 1060 6gb 2x8 ram 3000mhz ddr4 rgb 600W psu Note: I already had a ssd with my win10 in it Edit: Aorus mobo rgb logo shows up for miliseconds when I turn on the PSU. And I already tested using different sticks of ram

    Bsod and memory hogging

    edit: only memory dump http://s000.tinyupload.com/?file_id=78522568152061528765

Hi, so basically I just got a new dell vostro laptop and its driving me crazy.

Giving me bsod video dxkr something reason.

I cant uae chrome properly because it wont let me have enough tabs, after about 10, 15 tabs its just starts giving me out of memory crashes and other errors. I thought the usual that chrome is eating my ram, so i switched to firefox for a while but still I cant open over 10 tabs. My laptop is 8 GB ram, i7 10th generation, win 10 pro 64 bit. I understand that 10 tabs maybe a lot, but what I also understand is that should slow down and not crash my whole computer. No, I also dont have other apps running at the same time. I am not extremely tech savvy, but I am not either an illiterate. Ive check with dell support assist nothing comes up. Ive searched online, some forums say its prob malware, so I did a search using kaspersky, using windows defender, using malwatebytes, nothing. I usually have taskmanager open to see what the hell is going on. Right now for example its at 46% memory usuage when now I dont even have chrome or any applications open, when sorting by memory usuage, I see that for some reason, antimalware service executable is USING 150 MB, followed by Waves maxxaudio service using 94, a process called service which when i checked its location its under dell support assist, is using 86, and wth is my windows desktop manager using 56 MB, following those are then all apps and service hosts that use low memory such as 10 down to 1 mb and less. I check those main ones and they were all under system and windows so i figured they maynot be malware, but obviously not certain. My last attempt which I am hoping I can fix without using it is just a fresh windows install, but I was hoping not because there is a lot of heavy apps that I will need to reinstall for work.

Any help? Please also let me know if you think I should post this somewhere else for better coverage.

    Thank you
