Help with sharing files from my MacBook Pro to my Work Computer (Windows 7 - Network based) Posted: 23 Jul 2019 09:11 AM PDT Although this is very unpopular I imagine, I prefer to type on the new weird keyboard on my MBP. I like to use my dual monitors to display illustrations, inbox, prior art, etc. ​ I want to know if someone would be able to help me share files directly with the firm's domain? I had tried to setup file sharing via https://support.apple.com/kb/PH25346?locale=en_US then realized we have a network so the workgroup way wouldn't work. ​ It is a small firm so support calls are charged and this would help immensely since I do a lot of work at home and quiet frankly emailing new versions of documents and all that is just getting old. I know there is a possible way to do this I just haven't been successful with my own research (sad since I worked at the help desk during undergrad). ​ I appreciate any help that can be offered! Lenovo 330S not detecting my External HDD Posted: 23 Jul 2019 07:41 AM PDT Recently I purchased a "Lenovo IdeaPad 330S" (i3/8GB RAM/ 1TB HDD). It's not detecting the "Western Digital My Passport 2TB Portable External HDD". It's not getting detected in BIOS as well. When I connect the LED is constantly lighting without blinking , plus I can feel the HDD is spinning. I tried it on windows 10 and Debian 10 on my 330S both are not able detect this HDD. But the WD HDD is fairly working on my old laptop (Running Debian 10) as well as in my dads laptop running Windows 10. I am using this HDD for more than 2 Years. Do you think the laptop is faulty ? Since my HDD is working on other laptops. I did a live chat with Lenovo care, they updated the BIOS, installed drivers etc and finally told me it's a HDD Problem not the laptops problem! I'm sorry if this is a repost (mod - please feel free to delete this if it's too common of a question) ​ I looked up my "symptoms" and I think I have a virus that redirects all my searches through Bing. I'm unsure what anti-virus to use and I don't know how I got the virus in the first place. I almost used Reimage but was then told that it was malware. Desktop icons and task bar refreshing Posted: 22 Jul 2019 06:06 PM PDT I don't know what to call it but the desktop icons and taskbar and sometimes the program I'm running (uncommon but happens) close out and the taskbar disappears and the desktop icons reset but they come back and i don't know what's causing it but i notice this happens when i press my keyboard randomly but don't know where and this has happened enough that i can tell i dont press the same button but all this started when i ran a hitmanpro scan and i already scanned for malware with malware bytes but this happens around every 2 times i turn on my computer and some of my taskbar icons goes missing and trying to get them back gives me a message saying that the notification is not active Am also aware that one of the F commands on my keybored reset the desktop icons but it doesn't reset the taskbar that's why this seems off it happened again but i didn't press anything on my keyboard and instead i just exited out of chrome for it to happen submitted by /u/Thepic_turtle [link] [comments]

bsod whea_uncorrectable_error loop Posted: 22 Jul 2019 05:12 PM PDT Hi so I've had this pc since Jan 2016. pretty much was just playing csgo and i got this error. After doing research, i found that this is most likely a cpu error. First I restarted my pc and got the error after a few minutes, then i would get the error before windows even loaded up to my desktop. I ended up resetting my cpu oc to 3.5 ghz. My bios settings said it was on 4.2 from an oc profile my brother made in 2016 (however my my task manager said i was getting 5.0 ghz (?)) I had this preset on since Jan 2016 and never had any problems. Now I was able to boot windows 1 time and upload the dumps. However as soon as i launched my game my pc crashed again, same message (posting this from my phone). Now I am in the same situation where my pc crashes before I even load up my desktop. What is the issue here? Specs: psu: Corsair cx750m cpu: i5 6600k gpu: zotak 1080 ti mini mobo: msi z170 pc mate cooler: corsair h80i v2 16 gb ram here are the dumps: https://www.mediafire.com/file/8uax4xxgg0o8xnv/dumps.zip/file EDIT Took out 1 ram stick, booted up to a black screen. Replaced it and i was able to boot but I got the same original error. EDIT: tested a new psu and the issue persists.
