| I finally did it! Moved from consumer to internal! Posted: 14 Apr 2018 05:26 PM PDT I landed a job doing a mix of Tier 2/3 stuff, as well as helping train a team of newly hired tier 1 staff in a few months from now! I'm so excited to be moving on from consumer-level work! I'll still have to deal with minor stuff like email and phones, but now I can also do some more traditional internal IT work! The money doesn't hurt either ;) Ahh, it feels good to get out of the trenches! Don't give up hope, work hard, study, and look around! I would definitely give some advice to any seeking new jobs or looking to move up: Don't hesitate to look outside your company/city/state/country. Especially if you have no real commitments.
